Solar eclipse, August 12. The sun set as the eclipse got to its high point, which made for something of an anticlimactic end to the experience.

Lunar eclipse, August 28. I would have totally missed this if (1) we hadn't been admiring the full moon last night so I happened to notice this morning that it was suddenly only a half-moon and (2) Chris hadn't had to be up at 5am to catch the Very First Bus to work. Did not get good pictures, and again the moon set just as the eclipse was getting good. But still quite cool.
